Staff

Macià Florit photoMacià Florit Campins (Ciutadella de Menorca. Spain - 1990)

Director of the film-making project of The Sanisera Field School. He studied a Bachelor's degree in Humanities at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (2008-2011). He is film-maker and founder of the independent production company TanBonPunt since 2003. Director of short films, music videos and artistic films. He has created fiction films, advertisements, documentaries and experimental projects. Some of his projects are "Una habitació buida" (2009), "Ara què és tard" (2009), "Pathétique" (2010), "ArchaeologicalDreams II" (2011). He has also participated in alternative productions such as "la", "vor", "tres trams", "a prop de res" as well as in projects for theater and dance shows such as "Darwin. La dansa de la vida". Among the TV commercials he has produced, he prepared "Ciutadella Antiga" (2009). He currently collaborates with a production company from Barcelona called Elsabeth produccions in order to shoot for several TV programs.



Fernando ContrerasFernando Contreras Rodrigo (Lleida. Spain - 1967)

Director of the excavations at Sanitja and of the Ecomuseum de Cap de Cavalleria since 1997. President of the association "Sa Nitja. Gestión del Patrimonio Mediterráneo" founded in 1993. He obtained the Prize Fundació "la Caixa" in 1992: "Revalorització Ciutats Romanes de Catalunya i Illes Balears". FPI U.A.B. Internship 1991-95. His research fields are: Romanization in Minorca; Archaeological software; Cultural management; Museum development for the heritage of Sanitja and the Cap de Cavalleria. Director of the excavations in Mago (Pla Mirall, 2000-2002), Iamo (Correos, 1999), and Sanisera (Prospection 1993-1995, Excavation 1996-1998). His projects involving Minorca's cultural heritage include: Defense Tower in Fornells (CIM – 1996), Ecomuseum de Cap de Cavalleria (Leader II – 1997), Cavalleria Lighthouse (Futures – 1998).

 


Tatiana Valente photo Tatiana Valente. (Aveiro, Portugal 1988)

Graduated in Archaeology by the Porto University (Portugal) in 2010, Tatiana has been specializing as a ceramicist since then. She has been working with the Sanisera Institute since 2006, starting as a volunteer in the Roman Military Camp project. In 2007 she integrated the Sanisera team as ceramic drawer and researcher. Later on, after her graduation in 2010, she became Sanisera's ceramic specialist, working on archaeological projects in Menorca - Spain (Sanisera Roman City, Necropolis and Underwater port) and Águeda – Portugal (Talabriga Roman City). Currently she is also the co- director of the Spanish Archaeological Expeditions at Saruq al-Hadid (Dubai – UAE), held by the Sanisera Archaeological Institute.
